The brains behind Bad Brains

Hello and welcome to Bad Brains! The most đŸ€˜Punk RawkđŸ€˜ indie blog this URL has to offer. Created by the fans and for the fans of all things Skinner Brothers and their affiliated artists! We’re just a bunch of kids at heart— a handful of fiercely loyal music nerds, on a mission to shine a dazzling spotlight on our charismatic leader Zachary Skinner, and his masked squad of rowdy misfits.

Our mission here is not just to introduce you to one of the most criminally underrated bands in recorded history, but to immerse you so deep in Skinner Brother's culture that you drown in a sea of excellence miles away from the coast of mainstream mediocrity. You will find no record labels here—Everything you see and hear is produced independently by our very own Soulboy (Zac), with the help and support of his lovely wife Claira and their sassy mascot, Moneybags. Each track you listen to is not just a song, but a fraction of a decades-old dream that refuses to die, hand crafted by a lone industry counterculturist trying to survive in a world governed by contracts and managers.

From gritty, barfight sing-alongs such as “Sticky Floor” and “Prawn Soup,” to anthems of solidarity like “Away Days” and the raw approach to depression that “Lonely Head” brings to the table, the extensive Skinner Brothers catalog has a little something for everyone. With the lawless strategy of leaving no genre unturned, the Skinner Brothers are always bringing the SAUCE! And we're here for it! Whether you're a new addition to the family or a ride or die fan from day one, pull up a chair and be prepared to witness the meteoric rise of one of the most unpolished and unapologetic bands you simply can't ignore. Maybe bring a few snacks or something... Don't worry, we'll provide the playlists.

You know the drill. Visit our Links page to get more from the Skinner Brothers on their official accounts. You can also follow us on socials so you never miss a post here, or send us your best gig story to contact@badbrains.net. Let’s see how high this rocket can fly.
